Thankful Thursday
Today’s thankful Thursday is a little more materialistic. What I’m grateful for today is my sewing machine, Ulrike. She came to me from the Mister’s mother and has been a gem. This week she helped me make an adorable skirt which is waiting for a photoshoot so that I can share it with you all.
Ulrike came to me with only one pressure foot. So this week when I wanted to sew on a zipper, I had to go out and buy a new zipper foot. I went to the local sewing shop which I had never been in. The hours are strange and it never seems to be open when I stop by. Today though, I made it just in time. I found out why it’s almost never open – it’s just one woman, who appears to be about 80 years old running the store! She is very knowledgeable and she really wants to chat with everyone who comes in. I’m definitely looking forward to my next trip there!
